Would definitely recommend RTS if you have critical files that have been lost due to a failed/damaged hard drive.

RTS is amazing! They got almost all, if not all, of my 1TB hard drive back from the dead! (P.S. DO NOT DROP AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE FROM ANY HEIGHT!) I was in desperate need and all other companies wanted $1500 or more! RTS not only restored my data, they kept me informed the entire way! Note: They will ask for a credit card but they will not charge that card until they have recovered your data and even then, they ask for your permission after notifying you of what all they were able to recover. Simply amazing! Super nice people, efficient and worth every penny! Thank you all! You are a life saver!

I am a traveling photographer. Are often time will create a traveling hard drive to carry with me to work on projects while I'm on the road. Well I was traveling in 2015 and my hard drive stopped responding. I was quoted prices up to $1,000 to recover the data. The price made me Shy Away. I gave RTS a call and working with Paul he quoted me a flat rate on a standard hard drive recovery which is consistent with the industry.

However he said that you can also provide the service for flat rate that maybe do the job. I dropped my hard drive off to Paul 5 p.m. and I had it back the next day at 7 p.m. Paul communication was exceptional. I was really happy with the service. I'm ecstatic to have all those images back. Thank you RTS and thank you Paul!

What I liked about RTS was that they offered to look at my hard drive at no cost. Many companies don't offer this. I gave them my hard drive to examine because I believed it wasn't working. RTS checked it, said it wasn't working, and that it would cost $600 to repair. That was out of my price range, so I didn't pursue it. However, when I got home, I reinstalled the hard drive to double check that it was still not working.

To my surprise, it started working. Then, I looked closely at the drive and realized that I had given RTS the wrong drive. So basically, RTS checked a healthy drive and told me it wasn't working. I thought about going back to them with the broken drive, but because of my experience, I decided against it.

I found RTS Data Recovery Service through yelp, and I was not disappointed. After reading a few reviews on here I decided to try it out. Probably like most people, I only had one single external hard drive and used it for everything. All my photos, documents, and gopro footage. I never thought of having a backup for my backup until my 2TB Western Digital external hard drive broke down. I was helped by Paul and he did an excellent job of keeping me posted on his progress.

Just like these reviews say, Paul gave me a flat rate up front and was kind enough to give me a price for the worst case scenario. Thankfully the fix wasn't too expensive. I paid $285 to have all my data recovered. Other friends of mine have paid over 1 thousand dollars to get their data recovered (their devices might have had more issues). Give Paul your time, your broken hard drive, and your money, and he will not disappoint. He'll let you know exactly what the issue is, how much he'll charge, and when it can be completed. Great service! Zero complaints! Absolutely recommend!

Do not do what I did. Instead of using RTS Data Recovery, I used another service. RTS will give you a flat price up front. The other service only gave me a quote after I sent my hard drive to them. The quote was HIGHER than what Paul quoted me. After some negotiations, they matched the price that RTS gave me. However, they couldn't recover my data. They even charged me to send my hard drive back.

In desperation, I contacted RTS Data Recovery. They were able to recover my missing data. But there was contamination on the hard drive. It seems that the prior service's clean room was not so clean. So in sum, go with RTS Data recovery the first time. Yes, the price of data recovery is expensive in general. Be prepared to spend a lot. But the folks at RTS are cheaper than others and better than others. You can't go wrong. I wish I had picked them first.

Had a laptop hard drive crash after Windows pushed an update last week. Contacted Paul and had the drive in Fed Ex the next day. Luckily they were able to make a 100% mechanical recovery (take out the hard drive platters in a clean room and then spin them up in another device). Shame on me for not having redundant real time backups (I have 2 now). I knew better than to have a back up that was over a month old, so this was my penance. Paul was more than communicative and had great advise for backing up.

He should know - he deals with this every day. LEARN FROM HIM! My review would not change if they couldn't recover anything. I was impressed with their turnaround and communication which goes miles in a situation like this. Hats off to the RTS team. I hope I never have to talk to Paul again in this context, but thank God people like him are around when you need them.

Paul and his team at RTS are magicians! I wasted my time with the Apple "Genius" Bar & Microcenter until a friend recommended RTS. They recovered all my data and successfully backed it up on my external HD at a reasonable price. Others said it couldn't be done but Paul found a way. I highly recommend their services; honest and timely. I can't wait until I spill some whiskey on my laptop again!;p

I took my drive to a few companies to have it looked at (with RTS being the first) and ended up coming back to Paul after getting a few other quotes. Paul is incredibly professional and helpful and above all, honest. They have the most reasonable pricing and policies - you don't pay if they can't recover your data. Don't hesitate to use RTS, they are the real deal.

I thought I had lost it all. I couldn't get any computer to read my external hard drive, which is where I had put all of my information. I googled for ways to fix my issue and I just got complicated, elaborate, lengthy steps to "try" to fix it. I took it to geek squad and they told me they had to send it away and that it was going to be really expensive. Finally I was counselled to look for a data recovery place, which is probably what geek squad was going to do anyway, and I found RTS.

I called and was able to set an appointment pretty quickly. Dropped off my hard drive and they called me soon after and told me what they were going to be able to do. They were able to save my stuff. I couldn't have been more satisfied.

I'm not one to leave reviews, but the service RTS provided was unbeatable. I lost over 7TB of data in RAID5 and they were able to recover all but 3% - which was amazing news. More than anything, though, was how frequently Paul would call me to give an update on how things were going and approximately how much time was left. I've had thousand-dollar car repairs done without one call, let alone the 3+ Paul gave me.

I admit that I shopped around for quite a few data recovery services, but RTS gave the best price and even gave me advice on what I could do if I chose not to use a data recovery service. If I ever lose anything again (I really hope not), there's no doubt that I'll be going with RTS again.

Paul was very helpful and didn't seem at all to be taking advantage of me, someone who doesn't know much at all about how all this hard drive stuff works. He gave me discounts when he could and they were able to retrieve my information. The Apple store somehow messed up my glide pad(?) (mouse for a Macbook) so it was very difficult to use and Paul went above and beyond and fixed that for me as well at no cost.

These guys are great! Much more affordable than most other recovery services. They were able to recover my drive - saving my business. I would have rated them 5 stars, but they took a couple days longer than they promised. I am very happy with the service, have already recommended them to a friend in the same predicament, and will use/recommend them again if needed.

My drive suddenly failed on me around dinner time in Friday. Most other recovery services were closed and I did not know what to do, and I found RTS does a weekend job as well. I contacted Paul Hersh immediately and he recovered my precious and valuable data within the weekend. They know what they are doing and I am satisfied with the results. Thank you again!

RTS was a lifesaver - and managed to recover my son's college graduation pictures from a corrupted SD card. Their service was fantastic - when I ran into problems downloading the pictures from the USB stick that I had provided them for the files (and which they returned), they were able to instead send me the pictures over the internet (not an ideal solution, being that it took hours - still, at the end of the day they did indeed get me my pictures back). Very responsive, good communnications about how to ship everything.

Check around, the prices don't get any better that these. I checked with another company they gave me a range of $900-$3600. I ended up paying less than that with RTS, and I had a very complicated recovery. Paul and his colleagues kept at it until everything was fully recovered, then he apologized for having it take so long! (It was eight days, more than reasonable) I chose them because they were local, but I would hire them regardless of that in the future.

Prices seem a bit steep. $200 to fix 1tb drive, or $900 for data recovery on drive 1tb. do like that they called me at 2am shortly after I requested a quote tho.

I am very grateful to have found Paul and RTS Data Recovery. I had been carrying around some important documents on a 4gb USB flash drive and one day it went out. The tech guy at my job couldn't recover the data and I was quoted close to $1,000 by a few other companies. RTS was able to check out the drive the next day and they recovered 100% of my data for a fraction of the price that the other guys tried to charge. Great company, highly recommended!
