Was having some issues with my gaming pc and couldn't find anyone to work on it. Gave them a call and the guy who answered the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to answers questions and get to the bottom of the problem. I had called many other places(Best Buy) who wouldn't answer any questions or try to solve my problem. I ended up taking my pc here and they gave an estimate and got it working again. Very happy with my experience. Would recommend to anyone!

They built a new computer for me and transferred all files from old computer to new one and installed a new printer. Provided door to door service in a timely manner. Answer all my questions. Mark was great to deal with. No bull. Just great service. Highly recommend them. Mike Polyak. Polyak Services Inc.

This is the WORST computer repair and computer tutoring place I ever went. Las week I squedule a day for computer tutoring and the guy left me hanging. He left before I got there and never show up. And the owner was treating me pretty nasty. Before that I took my computer for repair and they couldn't fix the problem but they charge me way to much for a verry bad repair service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND SERVICE TO NOBODY. They do not have any respect for their clients

I have had other computer shows in the Reading area attempt to fix my issues, but only Nate at Shearer Technical could do the job correctly! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I had everything that pointed to a dying hard drive when I called Shearer Technical to check my laptop. Rather than address that, Shearer "cleaned up" my Dell laptop, and said I had a virus (NOT true). What is true is that they lost my laptop's bundled software package, Outlook and Word, and installed unlicensed software. They did not have the professional knowledge to do a proper back up. Dell laptop will not work properly unless you use a Dell disk.

Their installation of unlicensed software was disastrous. They dragged their feet on resolving this. I was even initially sworn at when I said I had to put the computer to sleep rather than boot from start. They did not know the drivers of my older printer was there in the printer all along, but could not work properly with the laptop following their "clean up".

They Returned my computer to me completely unusable. The Microsoft updates could not generate, and their answer to this? My lack of internet speed! - and for this I was charged $425. When I became desperate for a solution, I figured out I could run a diagnostics check myself. The report said the hard drive was "out of parameters', and not to continue to use the computer". (They had never checked the hard drive even though the issue from the beginning screamed hard drive).

So while they still had not fixed anything they screwed up, (promises, promises) and my bundled software was gone forever, I asked them to put in a new hard drive, and explicitly told them not to put anything less than what the computer came with. So what did they do? They put in 250 SSD! I did not need SSD, I needed the 760 the computer had to begin with.

When I asked them why they put in a 250 SSD, the response was "We put that in everyone's computer". Huh? What, did they have a fire sale on 250 solid state drives? I negotiated a payment of $100 (extortion) to give back my original hard drive, whereby I took my pc to PC Ninja, who I highly recommend! In 3 days I was up and running, but my bundled software was lost forever.

So what this amounts to is I could have had a brand new laptop for the money they sucked from me. So PLEASE, if you value your sanity, stay away from Shearer Technical. It is a shame I cannot give less than 1, because that is what it should be.
