Portable CIO

Portable CIO has been my savior several times over the years! They always fix my problem, they are professional, friendly, and always a great value for the service received! I highly recommend portable CIO!

As the beasts sometimes do, my computer started acting strange. I couldn't sign in or do much of anything else with it! As I have done a few time in the past I called the folks at Portable CIO. Evan and Alisa were able to put things right quicker than I could have imagined. These folks continue to be professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Also they are able to explain "things techie" at whatever level you require. Long may they wave!

The Corstorphines, owners of Portable CIO, have always been so responsive to us needy non-techies. I recently fell victim to a very convincing scam artist who took over my computer & tried to sell me a security program to "protect my ID and finances." I called PCIO and they identified this "crook" immediately & told me to bring my laptop in right away.

Within hours they found the foreign "agent" and got rid of it and recommended some legit security systems to protect me in the future. All timely and affordable. Thank you, Portable CIO!

I spilled water all over my computer and not only were Evan and Alisa so helpful and sent me home with my computer completely fixed, but they were so kind and very willing to help. I would recommend Portable CIO to anyone in need of computer repair. It is easy to be flustered and frustrated when computers break and these two made the whole process so much easier in addition to providing excellent customer service. They are the best!

I hadn't seen Evan's response until now, but it's exactly as expected. Blame the customer and cast false accusations to make it seem like the customer unreasonable. He makes it seem as if he chose not to work on my project. That is not true. I chose not to be ripped off by his inept company. Rather than paying $300 for a diagnostic service when I was already certain the router had failed I replaced the router myself.

Absolutely the best team to help you with computer malfunctions. As a Physician I can say that Portable CIO did a great service to my practice several times when our computer problems would have lead to crises. Knowledgeable, accessible, and a pleasure to work with. Thanks to the whole team!v

I have very old laptop computer dying and needed to transfer all the data. Alisa, Arthur and Jennifer were professional, knowledgeable and accommodating to my needs. Alisa also helped me getting the right laptop computer for me and my company. I was lacking in back up system and Malware prevention. They recommended the cost effective systems and installed for me. I would use their service for all my computing needs.

These guys are terrific! Responsive, competent and stand behind their work. We've used them for a number of years, all for our home computer systems and while their initial solutions to our problems didn't always work, they stuck by us until they got things fixed. I have a ton of confidence in them and can't recommend them highly enough. If you've got computer problems, these are the folks to call.

The best thing about portable CIO is their proximity to my home in Alamo. Their recent service was less than satisfying and while I have used them for years, I will not use them again. They seemed impatient with my concerns over losing all of my data and basically gave me little information as the process of retrieving the data proceeded. After I got my computer back, much of the data was still missing.

When I called back for help, they said it was impossible to retrieve the rest of the data. I used an online computer service to get back quickbooks data, repair software issues that were not repaired by Portable CIO and to answer questions that Portable CIO wouldn't or couldn't answer. They did this within an hour after Portable CIO had my computer for one week.

Evan and the team at Portable CIO are always "johnny on the spot" when it comes to problem solving and tech savvy-ness. There are very few businesses that I'd ever recommend; and PCIO is one of them. Evan's monthly articles in the Danville, Lafayette and Alamo Today contain lots of advice that many others would just assume charge you for. I opened my computer up to clean it and did something stupid. So stupid I'm not going to tell it here, but the result was a broken computer. I called a friend and he recommended Portable CIO. He had been using them with good results for awhile. He drove me down to their office and I dropped the computer off, expecting it to be repaired in two or three days if they could fix it at all. I got a call a couple of hours later tell me the computer was repaired and working. Very happy with the service I got.

I've tried a number of computer repair folks over the years and never been completely satisfied. That was before I tried the Portable CIO. I received prompt and excellent service at what I thought was a very reasonable price. A week or so later, I had a completely unrelated problem and gave them a call. They were more than happy to walk me through what I needed to do to solve my issue and get me back in business. I will definitely use Evan and his team again and plan to spread the word.

Horrible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I requested service to help set up a wireless internet system in my home. My wireless was not working well with wireless repeaters that I purchased. I explained that I had isolated the problem to the wireless repeater and wanted an ALTERNATIVE solution. The technician came out and simply reset the repeater and declared all was fixed.

I had explained that I had already done this before and the solution was temporary. Well guess what? It didn't work and I was left to find a better solution myself and saddled with a 135.00 charge which I am currently disputing. They were rude, defensive and threatening when I complained. STAY FAR AWAY from these guys

These guys are awesome! Used them when I was working as an admin assistant and they helped me sooo much.

I've been working with them for over 8 years, and have referred a number of my friends & colleagues. They've always been there when I need them exactly what computer support is about. I had done business with them for several years with hiccups. My last experience was terminal. I brought them my laptop for maintenance tuneup, virus s/w updates and a backup solution. When I picked it up all of my bookmarks, emails and contacts were gone! Their response is it is not their problem, too bad but not responsible for my data. WHAT? Thats why I needed them and hired them.

What company in this business doesn't back up data before messing with it? Obviously not these fools. I have several other people who had had bad experiences. RUN don't walk away from these morons.
