Michigan Technology Services offers instructor-led CompTIA Security+ courses. The Security+ training can take place at our location in Farmington Hills, 20 miles outside of Detroit, where you will sit in a room with one of our instructors, onsite at your office anywhere throughout the United States, or if you prefer, instructor led live online. This practical "hands-on" 5 day course will teach students the fundamental principles of installing and configuring computer and network security systems.
Most people get computer training because they need to obtain a specific skill. And after trying to teach themselves they realize that having somebody instruct them is a much better option, as computer skills aren't always as intuitive as you'd like to believe. But there are additional reasons why you should take computer training classes. If you are thinking about a new career, computer skills are a necessity. And if you are already an IT professional, sitting through advanced computer courses and obtaining the latest technical skills generally makes you more valuable to the company you work for - increasing job security, and at times, salary.
Michigan Technology Services offers advice to people exploring a computer career - and also to IT pros looking to advance their skills. There are a few truths that need to be addressed: First, learning computers is a lifelong process, as technology is ever changing. Once you embark on a career in information technology (IT), you will constantly be learning new operating systems and procedures. You will either learn, or quickly become obsolete to your employer. Don't worry, once you learn your first OS the others are generally easier, but you will still be studying quite a bit if you want to excel in the computer industry.
