LPS Computer Service Group LPS Computer was established in 1987 as a HP Value Added Reseller and Authorized HP Service Center. The service business grew to 3 locations in Southern California and provided high level on-site service for thousands of businesses. In 1994 LPS became a HP Designjet dealer and Authorized Service Provider and has been immersed in the HP Designjet business since that time.

The service business was sold to Technic Business Solutions in 2014. LPS Computer retained the Designjet parts business online and continues to provide Designjet parts and technical support worldwide for thousands of other Designjet service and repair companies and self repair end users.

Using the Power Switch LED to Troubleshoot In certain circumstances the LED located in the power switch can help to troubleshoot the Printer. The LED can be OFF, ON or flashing and using different combinations can indicate different problems. NOTE: You should only use the LED to troubleshoot when the Printer does not Power up completely.
We purchased the HP1050C ink tube replacement and are in the process of bringing the plotter back up. The system is not recognizing the set-up printheads and is only flashing a "insert printhead" message. We tried reseating the printheads but this is as far as we get. What should be looked at/redone/reviewed.
Hello, I had just installed one of your belts for the the DJ 5000ps and when I tried printing the calibration sheet the printer started leaking the light cyan ink. I think the problem was with my Ink Tube System and have bought a replacement from you guys. The ink got everywhere all the print head cleaners were soaked and the vacuum fan had was all saturated as well.

I could not be happier with LPS. I ordered a formatter board (including hard drive) for my DesignJet Z3100 from them and they shipped it immediately. I installed it with no problems and the printer came back to life. All went well for a couple of days until I tried to use the HP Utility on my Mac to upload some custom paper presets. From then on the printer would not boot and I could see from the diagnostics that several files had been wiped off the hard drive.

I am completely convinced that the HP Utility corrupted the firmware and that there was nothing wrong with the board I had received from LPS. I called LPS and spoke to Tim, asking if there was some way I could restore the firmware myself. He explained to me why HP makes that difficult, and without my asking offered to send my a replacement drive with HP firmware for only the cost of shipping. It arrived in two days and I have been printing happily ever since.

Bob is an amazing guy, answered his phone on a saturday, i told him my problem with my design jet and he gave me a couple trouble shooting tasks to see if it would solve the problem, i appreciated the steps and i performed them and it fixed my problem! i highly recommend this company! they gained my trust and i will refer to them for all my printing needs!

GREAT Local business! Most businesses that provide a service AND a product usually make things look too difficult to do yourself, even if they have "tutorials" online. LPS legitimately wants to help people AND they do provide a unique product that not only EXCEEDS original product specs, they provide VALUE in the form of all necessary tools needed to get the job done right.

I compared their belt quality with a stock HP replacement and I was blown away on how much of a difference in quality there was. I was looking to replace a carriage return belt on my DesignJet 510 24" plotter, and after looking at repair costs and\or what it costs to replace the plotter I decided to try it myself with their repair kit. Bob on the Youtube videos provided a comprehensive overview and repair process procedure that made me feel confident that it was worth trying on my own, and glad I did!

Not only did I save about 30% in repair costs, I LEARNED a lot about the machine I maintain. This business has earned by business, but most importantly they earned my TRUST. They are now put as my vendor of choice for all things printer related for the organization I work for. Thank you LPS! I bought their belt repair kit for $89 for an HP DesignJet 500 Plotter. The kit included the required torx wrench tools and calibration paper which were both a godsend! Their tutorial video made the possibly complicated repair very easy and straight forward and saved us around $300 on repairs! Thank you for saving our Plotter!

Thanks to LPS I got two plotters up and running, an HP desngjet 500 and a designjet 5500PS. Bob's youtube videos where he walks people through repairing machines are extremely helpful as well as his stock of professionally refurbished parts. Never had any issues with his parts, which have found their place in both of my printers. Without LPS I wouldn't be able to print my work at a reasonable price (I'm an architecture student so I need to print large posters several times a week). Bob has been great on the phone too in answering all of my questions. He knows these machines inside and out.
