I've used Geek Squad to do a few things things for my families computers. As soon as I consulted a reputable repair shop and told them of my previous 'repairs' by the Geek Squad they went through and repaired the 'fixes' Geek Squad had done on my machine. Apparently, they cut corners and didn't do the correct fix for the job. Even after two different fixes for malware or viruses Secure Remote Support was able to find numerous different infections that were affecting my system performance and repair them manually within an hour or two.

I'm quite happy with the company I found as an alternative to Geek Squad. They phone me when they say they will, do the repairs for the price they say they will, and they do the job right.

I'd suggest you at least get a quote from secureremotesupport.com. They provide them for free, and I've never had any issues with them.

Charged me a ridiculous amount of money and didn't even fix my problem. These guys don't seem to know anything.

I was wondering of someone could look at my computer/modem,,sometimes my comouter will be accesible,,other times it just will not connect,,I bought a new modem thinking that was the problem but it stills shorts out on me,,any idea what this could be?

Although many people, in the North Shore, were against this store going in, I think they feel differently now. The store is clean and the workers are helpful. I did notice that the shelves aren't quite as stocked at some other locations, but I am sure they can order whatever you can't find.
