This company has bent over backwards to recover my hard drive. In spite of all adverse circumstances they fought the good fight, never giving up, and triumphed! I have had my life recovered! My experience with Data Recovery Labs was easy, straightforward and to the point. The service requested was to restore an old archive drive with a possible mechanical failure. The individual to whom I most spoke with was Alex Kemper. What I most appreciated was the realist approach. Cover potential issues, price range and most likely situation/cost.
Concerned most with me being assured the data on the device was worth what I was spending. After Data Recovery received the drive, I was informed of the parts cost to repair the drive and was allowed to make the decision to walk away at no cost. Very professional from start to finish, I would highly recommend them.

Following a few procedures in-house to attempt to recover data from a failed hard drive, we reached out to Data Recovery Labs for further evaluation. The process and assistance I received from the staff were excellent, from the first conversation with the support staff, until the data evaluation. The team at Data Recovery Labs was able to recover all of my files, from word documents, design files from Photoshop and InDesign and over 60,000 photos that were stored on the drive.
The team at Data Recovery Labs was able to save my entire archive of files from the last 6-7 years, saving me countless hours it would have taken to redesign and recreate everything. I experienced hard drive failure in my laptop. My local computer repair shop was unable to fix it and warned that all the pictures and documents I had saved to the laptop's hard drive would be lost. Being too valuable to me to lose them I explored alternate means of recovering the photos and documents. With the aid of a friend and former HP engineer I was referred to Data Recovery Labs in general and Alex Kemper in particular.
After paying for parts to mechanically repair my hard drive DRL was able to recover my photos and documents and presented them to me for review prior to my committing to pay for the data. I was happy with the recovery results and paid to have my data sent to me on a spare hard drive. Mr. Kemper guided me step by step through the process with complete capability and professionalism.
He assisted me even with the most mundane tasks of getting to where I needed to be on my laptop to review the data and even reach the page at which I could leave this review. Thankfully, they were able to retrieve all my data sector by sector. The quality of the work seems impeccable. After contacting Data Recovery Labs and learning about their process and likely range of fees, I sent my damaged drive to them.
Within a few days, they provided an assessment of the damage, what it would cost to try to recover the data, and a guarantee that if I was not satisfied with the data they were able to recover, that I wouldn't have to pay for the service (to be clear, this means no data would be received at all). Data Recovery Labs pulled off what other labs had not been able to do, retrieve my data from my personal hard drive. I had two different experts look at the hard drive and tell me that it was either too hard or there was nothing on the hard drive (reformatted). The hard drive on our server computer suddenly gave us a hard disk error and wouldn't work. We sent it out to a local tech person who works to recover hard drives but he was unable to transfer any files off of the hard drive. We then sent it to Data Recovery Labs where they clearly explained their procedures and our options. They gave helpful advice and got to working on the problem quickly.
Once they were done with the recovery, they took extra steps in the verification process to ensure that the files were working properly before they charged us for the work. Our overall experience with them was very positive.

We feel so fortunate that we found Data Recovery Labs. After our external hard drive showed signs of failure I began a very exhausting search to 1) find out what was wrong and 2) find an economical way to fix it. Our hard drive began clicking when attempting to access files, which we know is very BAD. To our good fortune we found this team with offices all over the country.

In early October 2016, my hard drive crashed. Unfortunately I was not able to back up my photos, documents, etc. before it crashed. A friend of mine attempted to recover the data but indicated it would take more than just transferring the data on a new hard drive because he did not have the appropriate software. He recommended Data Recovery Labs to me.
Once I found out that he was not able to save the data I called and Data Recovery and spoke with Alex Kemper. Alex was very professional and very honest in telling me that he believed his company would be successful in recovering my photos, documents, etc but made no promises. He also told me that it would take a great deal of time and that the cost was expensive, at least to me.
After considering alternatives, I made a decision to move forward with Data Recovery Services. It did take longer than expected but I also remembered that Alex indicated it could be a long process. During the recovery process, Alex kept informing of the steps and the process. When he believed that his support staff had completed the process, he had me first review all of the data listed that was recovered and gave me time to review the directory tree.
I did have trouble downloading the information but Alex led me through the process so that I would be able to download the directory tree of data. After reviewing the data indicated without seeing the actual photos or documents, Alex then had me verify the data by actually going through all of the files. I was pleased to find out that Data Recovery Labs was able to save all of my files.

Data Recovery Laps is a false and deceptive corporation. They claim to be in nationwide organization with offices throughout the country. If you send your devices to remote location they all get sent to Ohio. They advertise $199 dollar recovery costs, mine came back with a cost estimate of $1800 dollars. They say you could pick up your device anytime between 10 am and 7 pm, of course that is in Ohio. They lead you to believe that your device will be repaired locally. Don't believe anything they say, they are a rip off!
