Super friendly and helpful. They explained the repair process and any obligations every step of the way. I would highly recommend Compuzone if any of your Apple devices need repairing.

CompuZone was a real lifesaver today when my laptop screen cracked! I work for a fully remote company so I would've lost at least a few days getting a new machine and getting it up and running, not to mention thousands of dollars for my employer. Getting it fixed at Apple would've been 3-5 business days as well, if they had the parts in stock. Luckily, CompuZone had a refurbished screen for my exact MacBook model in stock and they had it replaced in about 4 hours. It works flawlessly now and I'd never know the difference. PSA don't use a webcam visibility toggle on a macbook or you'll crack your screen! Thank you, CompuZone!

I took my old iMac in some time ago after I bought a new one, I wanted all the data on a flash drive and keep the old Mac that was slow but functional to donate. When I returned they told me all they could do was give me the old hard drive but NOT the Mac. My fault I LET them rip me off but I know I will NEVER return to this place! Liars + thieves.

Locally owned businesses and they are very helpful with Apple devices. Happy with the service they provided on my Apple earbuds and will be bringing in my wife's IPhone X for a battery replacement

My MacBook Pro's battery completely died late on a Thursday. On Friday, I looked on the Apple website for reservations at repair shops that take Apple Care, everyone should have Apple Care btw. The Apple website suggested another repair shop who were super nice, but they needed to send it away for five days. I had some important stuff to get done so the other repair shop suggested Compuzone. Compuzone said they might be able to fix by Saturday and were able to make a backup of my hard drive that day for $80 so I could work in the meantime on my other Mac. I was able to work Saturday and I pick up my MacBook Pro Saturday night and am now writing this review on my fixed machine. Unbelievable. Thanks guys!

My wife's iPhone was acting up on our visit to Austin. We took it to Compuzone and had the best experience ever. They diagnosed the problem instantly, replaced the display within an hour and our issues were completely resolved. The gentlemen that helped us were kind, polite and very professional. We were thrilled with the terrific service. Highly recommend!

They tried to help recover data from a dead MacBook Pro. When they could not as the drive was dead, I asked to borrow the drive enclosure and try myself in the store just to have peace of mind that I tried. Surprisingly, they let me do this; most repair shops wouldn't. This was very kind and I really appreciated it. Will bring future Macs here for repair.

Had a fantastic experience with them this past weekend. I was on a visit to the city - and my 2014 MacBook pro battery just died on me. I found this store to be the closest to where I was and called them. I spoke to Prasad and Nitin at the store - and as luck would have it, they had a spare battery+keyboard+trackpad assembly in the store. They were most helpful to have the laptop in less than 2 hours on a short notice on a weekend, and then helped me collect the laptop outside store hours as I needed it back urgently. Thanks very much for your help.

Outstanding service, especially considering I was in a tough spot with a display issue on Labor Day. They were quick, SO helpful, and saved my data! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I know I can rely on this business so I will be back.

I took in my iphone x last week to get the battery replaced. I've been trying to make it last as long as I can and the only thing wrong with it was the battery. Less than 24 hours after picking it up, my display started acting funny and glitching out. I took it back to them and they told me it was "unrelated" to what they had done to replace the battery the day before.

I said screw it and took it directly to the apple store's genius bar. They were able to confirm it was likely related and needed to replace my entire display. Luckily, my display was still covered under warranty but this would have been a ~$300 charge to get it fixed normally. At the very least, I feel like I should get my money back from compuzone

Compuzone is an oasis of serenity for those of us who get hives walking into crowded Apple stores! I'm delighted with the service I received from their locally owned shop. I called Apple to troubleshoot a display issue on my MacBook Pro. When it couldn't be fixed, they offered to set up a repair appointment at the Genius Bar, to which I took a hard pass, and politely requested another option. Thankfully Compuzone had an available appointment so Apple scheduled it for the next day.

I took it in to the store on a Monday, the associate was professional and friendly, saying he would call me with the diagnosis and cost estimate by Thursday. Instead, I received a call on Wednesday, saying my laptop was repaired and ready to go. No charge, it was all covered by my warranty. But the best part was not having to go to an Apple store! I was in and out on both visits in under five minutes, parking included. I will go directly to Compuzone for all future Apple purchases and repairs. These guys are good!

THIS IS THE WORST COMPUTER STORE WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI! I know that was a funny line, but I assure you this review is no joke. After Biden was inaugurated, things began to turn for the better in my life just like many other Americans. That is, until I had my encounter with compuzone. My mac had the tiniest of issues, so I assumed that Compuzone would have the capacity to fix it for a fair price.

Boy was I wrong. They quoted me $800 for a simple repair. As a broke college kid, I could not afford this. I was distraught for a couple days. My roommates kept asking me if I was ok, but I was not. In an act of desperation, I called a different repair shop for a second quote. This shop quoted me $200! It appears that Compuzone has a similar moral code to Bill Clinton. Attempting to rip me off for 2/3 of my net worth is a truly cowardly act. Compuzone: if you see this just know that I am calling my lawyers and making the necessary arrangements. This should be 0 stars!

The MacBook Pro that I had them work on failed after 5 months of use. It was a battery and keyboard replacement. At this point, my AppleCare had expired and they quoted me $450 to replace the battery. It turns out that Apple only provides a 90-day warranty. So if another 5 months go by and the battery fails again I would be SOL. As an authorized Apple repair shop they are probably restricted on their rates and use of third-party parts.

So my issue is more of an issue with Apple than CompuZone. Still, $450 for a battery replacement is ridiculous no matter how good they are or who they're affiliated with. So with all that happened, I contacted Apple tech support directly and explained the situation and they agreed to replace my laptop battery for free even though I was only 2 months out of the support contract. So the lesson here is to contact Apple first. They're likely to work with you more than through a third party could do. Stay safe, Stay healthy

If I could give 6 Stars I would! With Apple's Genus Bar closed, as suggested by 5 Star review here on Yelp by someone in a similar situation, I went to CompuZone. I have now taken my computer in for repairs twice, and received outstanding service on both occasions. As my computer was still under AppleCare, they were able to coordinate receiving parts from Apple. Perfect Combination of diagnostic expertise, efficiency, reliability and customer service.

There is no option for zero stars, so I will post as 1. My intent is zero. I brought my MacBook in as it was freezing and I needed to regularly reset PRam. They called and said they needed to send it in to Apple and asked me to bring in a hard drive to backup the data. Shame on me for not doing this task myself, but I brought in a 2TB hard drive as requested and gave them my login and password.

I have two accounts on the computer, one for work, one for personal. I told them not to bother with the work account as there was no substantive data there, I just needed personal files backed up. I picked up my computer yesterday. They had wiped the hard drive and not backed up my data. At first they lied to me and said that they couldn't get the hard drive to work.

After further pressing and proving that the external hard drive was functional, they said that they didn't have the password. The email exchange showed the truth. They were lazy, sloppy, and dishonest. If you have mac issues, please just use the self-mail option and avoid this location. I had an awful experience. I can maybe accept some level of miscommunication. But blatant lying about the hard drive not working is not acceptable.

So rude, I wish I could give 0 stars. I called the compuzone at 1011 W 5th St, Austin, TX 78703 this morning (7/6/2020). I began explaining my issue I was having with my iphoneXS, ghost or false touch is what they call it. The phone acts as if it's being touched; opens apps, texts, and switches options on and off. I'm not even 5 seconds into my explanation of what's going on, and the gentleman I was speaking to, cuts me off (rudely, by the way.) I didn't even hear what he was saying, because I was mid explanation when he started talking over me.

He starts to say bye, and I have to say, "wait wait, can you help me?" And he says, "yeah, just come in". So I ask him what time, he tells me 1-2pm, and he hangs up on me. I wait around till 1, drive 30min to the store. When I walk in I say hi, I spoke to you earlier about fixing an iphone. I explain the issue to him in person. He lets me finish this time, and finally tells me, we can't fix this here.

I WAS IRATE. Why he couldn't have told me over the phone I don't know. He says sorry, I thought your problem was with text messages. Had you let me finish explaining my problem on the phone, sir, you would have been able to appropriately advise me then. Instead you have me waste an hour of my life driving back and forth, and waste your time as well. Frustrated is an understatement.

He was rude to me, dismissed me, and was barely apologetic. This is not how you do business. Based on simple principle. I will never give a CompuZone my business ever. I will advise others the same.

Ok, maybe they only quoted $450. This is still outrageous. The battery costs $49. I bought one dissolved the glue with acetone and boom saved $400. I don't care what your records show, you charged me about $125 to replace a mbair battery last year. You guys are trying to rob people. If you need a repair, go to Longhorn Mac repair. They charge $89 for the same job but it will take them a couple of days.

I just couldn't wait that long. In response to them, again. I told you is was a MBP retina and you quoted hundreds of dollars. Again, I bought a battery online, $49 delivered, I bought some finger nail polish remover, $3 delivered, and spent 20 minutes replacing the battery. You seriously want to charge customers $400 in labor!?!?. Again, again, you replaced a MBAir battery for me last summer for $125. Still a ripoff. GO TO LONGHORN MAC REPAIR. They take longer but charge fair prices. http://www.longhornmacrepair.com/

Great service, fast and efficient. Rashad was very helpful and quickly sent off my iPhone to Apple for repairs. A week later, my phone was returned repaired and working again like new. While my phone was still under warranty, it was still great to see the level of customer service provided so willingly for a service that was ultimately free of charge!

I am so happy with CompuZone! Apple said they could not fix my iPad and it would be $600 for a replacement or $1000 for a new one. I took it to CompuZone on 5th and Lamar and they tried to fix it and ended up giving me a replacement for $150. Also, even though the location is downtown, parking is super easy in the garage above the store.

Very fast and professional service. I took my iPad Pro with a cracked screen. They take AppleCare plus for the deductible only. For $49 dollars with AppleCare I got a brand new iPad.

Great experience - repaired my MacBook Pro 2015 and has very good prices - cheaper than the Genius Bar at the Apple Store! They even helped check if there was any recalls for any of my parts, such as the battery or the screen, that they could help me replace free of charge.

After many phone calls with Apple support and nothing fixed, I decided to take my laptop here to try and get rid of a virus. These guys fixed the virus (without wiping my whole computer clean-as recommended by Apple) for a reasonable price in roughly 2hours. Awesome job and great customer service! Will be returning in the future.

This is the best computer repair store I've found in Austin. There's almost never a line to speak with someone there, or a long wait for a repair. Excellent communication and service. I've bought almost all of my Apple products here. They will troubleshoot for you, provide excellent product and service advice, and basically do backflips to keep their customers happy. I highly recommend Compuzone!

I recently took my MacBook Pro to this store for a repair. I walked in thinking that I was about to spend $800 to repair my display and I certainly was not excited about it. Not only did they have many time slots for repair available I also walked into a clean beautiful space that I felt comfortable taking my laptop to. They were prompt, I did not wait at all to talk to someone. they informed me of the process and after five minutes I was checked in and my computer was in the back being looked at.

By the end of business that very same day I received a phone call that they were able to make the simple repair and that it would only cost me the amount they charge for the diagnostic and that my computer was ready for pick up. Hopefully I won't need their services for awhile, but if I ever do, I will be back. Thank you!

Make sure you're certain that you won't be returning your Apple product to these guys as they will charge you a 15% fee for bringing it back (unless it's faulty of course) For peace of mind you're far better off getting any Apple product from the Apple Store which will accept returns and give a full refund. The finances here seem a little bit shoddy as well - my reduced refund had to be collected by check the next day as they weren't able to refund the payment into the cards I purchased them on. My advice - steer well clear and go to the Apple Store where you'll pay exactly the same price anyway

These guys are awesome. My computer was unresponsive after I spilled a drink on it. I brought it over the evening before Thanksgiving to get the data retrieved. CompuZone had my data for me the morning after Thanksgiving. They charge $49 and said if they weren't able to retrieve the data they'd charge me nothing. Beyond fair in my book. But I hit an immediate hiccup afterwards: I was unaware one of my programs is set to auto-back-up, which it did, OVERWRITING A DOCUMENT THAT COMPUZONE HAD JUST RETRIEVED FOR ME.

After a bunch of failed efforts on my part to revert to the retrieved version, I contacted Compuzone on Facebook asking if they could help me without charging the full amount for retrieval. They called me the next morning and said they would grab that single file for me for free. As my husband said: Now THAT'S customer service. Upon my return to their store, they introduced me to a converter that allowed me to use an old Mac cord on the new computer I had bought earlier to replace my unresponsive one, saving me the cost of replacing the new cord that my adorable-but-naughty kitten had chewed on and ruined.

All in all, CompuZone was friendly, efficient, honest and responsive. It's the kind of business you want in a community. I'll take every chance I get to support them and hope you will too.
