When my 9 year old laptop got a software "update" and subsequently refused to restart, and I got radio silence from my usual computer guy, Matt Burke came to the rescue. He assessed the problem, helped me purchase a new laptop, making sure I got one that would meet my needs without breaking the bank. He then got all of my old data out of the old laptop and onto the new one, and set it up just the way I had it before.

Usually I hate transitioning to a new machine, because nothing ever seems to work the way it should. Not so with Preferred Computer Solutions - this transition was completely seamless. Then when I had an unrelated minor glitch with my printer, he quickly figured out the problem remotely. Finding a new computer guy (or mechanic or dentist or.) is always stressful. I feel like I really lucked out finding Matt at Preferred Computer Solutions.

I contacted them through their website asking for help and did not get any response. I guess they don't want or need new customers. Update: 4 years go by and they finally respond. Really?

I brought my dated 2012 Dell laptop to Matt last week after it "blue screened". He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and resolve it very quickly. It's now running like it did when I took it out of the box 7 years ago!

Had an issue with the keyboard on my Macbook. Went to Matt to see what could be done. He said that while he could "fix it", the cost would be nearly 50% of its current value, and due to the complexity of what would need to be done, lend itself to creating other issues. He suggested that I use and external keyboard and consider upgrading to a new model. THAT is an example of honesty and integrity that is sorely missing today.

A $20 keyboard, and I am up and running. Not being tech savvy, I could have easily been taken advantage of by another less than scrupulous dealer. Matt will be my goto technician for future needs. He is not a flashy salesman, nor is his shop glitzy. Well, flashy and glitzy does not fix computers, know how does.

I'm not sure if he puts on a cape and fights crime, but Matt Burke is definitely a superhero when it comes to computer repair (and he has a killer Batman tattoo to prove it)! I've seen him a couple of times for various issues, including bringing back to life so I'm dying hard drives. He's knowledgeable, fair, and personable. I would recommend him for anybody in the area that needs help taking care of their devices.
